Pre-upgrade Ensure
that the log function is enabled to record operation data for the upgrade.
Save the configuration file of the source
version, so that if the upgrade fails, you can roll back the
NE40E-X1&NE40E-X2 to the source version using the saved configuration file.
Setting a small traffic rate is recommended.
This helps prevent possible NE40E-X1&NE40E-X2 upgrade failures. The traffic
rate can be changed to an appropriate value after the upgrade.
Upgrade
in process Do not install, power off, restart, or remove any boards.
Load correct paf.txt and license.txt files.
Use commands with the slave parameter only
when double MPUs are installed on an NE40E-X1&NE40E-X2.
Skip the step of upgrading an SFU when
upgrading an NE40E-X1&NE40E-X2as there is no SFU.
Stop upgrading an LPU manually if its CPU
usage exceeds 90%. High CPU usage slows down the upgrade process or results in
an upgrade failure. Proceed with the upgrade after CPU usage falls below 80%.
Post-upgrade Ensure that the following conditions are met:
Boards register with the MPU successfully.
Board components support the target version.
No configuration data is missing.
The
NetEngine40E series universal service router (NE40E) is a high-end network
product provided by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. NE40Es are usually deployed
